This is privacy policy for AIV (AFRICAN INDEGENOUS VEGETABLES) Application, ('we', 'us', or 'our'), describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share ('process') your information when you use our services such as when you, download and use our mobile application (AIV), or any other application of ours that links to this privacy policy.

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

Personal Information Provided by You. The personal information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include the following:

      i).            Phone number. This information is used for facilitating phone calls between the users (consumer and farmer) in the app, also when validating account for sensitive actions.

    ii).            Email address. This information is required for authentication purpose

  iii).            Password. This information is during the authentication stage.

  iv).            Names. Names are required for making the user appear with the name to the other user

    v).            Location. This data is collected so as to allow order delivery to be tracked between the consumer and farmer/transporter, only during the processing period.

  vi).            Address location. This data involves, country, region and district. User is required to provide this in order to filter only products belongs to his/her country.

Application Data. If you use our application(s), we also may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:

      i).            Geolocation Information. We may request access or permission to track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using our mobile application(s), to provide certain location-based services. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device's settings.

    ii).            Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application(s). If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device's settings.

This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our application(s), for troubleshooting, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

 

HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

      i).            Provide, operate, and maintain our mobile app

    ii).            Improve, personalize, and expand our mobile application

  iii).            Understand and analyse how you use our mobile app

  iv).            Develop new services, features, and functionality

    v).            Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, including for customer service, to provide you with updates and other information relating to the mobile app and for marketing and promotional purposes; Send you emails

  vi).            Find and prevent fraud

 

HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted or user request to delete. No purpose in this policy will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process.               iv).            The right to restrict processing. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

                v).            The right to object to processing. You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

              vi).            The right to data portability. You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
